Shungen Fuke
Shungen Fuke is the 164th Chief Abbot of Mii-dera Temple (Grand Head Temple of the Tendaijimon Sect) and holds a master’s degree in Western Philosophy from Ritsumeikan University. A visionary cultural leader, he serves as the General Artistic Supervisor for the «Oto no Miidera» Art Project. He is also a Guest Professor at Seian University of Art and Design and the Chairman of the Certified NPO «Biwako Trust» for Lake Biwa’s conservation, seamlessly connecting Buddhist heritage with art, education, and ecology.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
Oto no Mii-dera (The Sound of Mii-dera) is a multidisciplinary performing arts project that brings together leading artists from a wide range of disciplines, including waka (classical Japanese poetry), shōmyō (Buddhist chant), Noh theatre, shakuhachi (Japanese bamboo flute), clarinet, and contemporary music.
