Artonov 2021

For the 7th consecutive year, the ARTONOV Festival, which has become a must-see event in the Brussels landscape, invades exceptional venues to make culture resonate. Classical and electronic music, dance, theater, experimental cuisine... The festival's theme takes the form of a carte blanche, leaving ample room for interpretation and always leaving space for poetry. This year, it will be IBASHO, a Japanese term that refers to the place where one feels the best, where one can be oneself. It is a reflection on the role of art in these troubled and always uncertain times, where the notion of (non-)essential is sometimes harshly used to describe it. The ARTONOV Festival aims to stimulate creations in Art Nouveau, Art Deco houses, and other remarkable buildings. This year, we also want to draw attention to urban projects such as See U in Ixelles, which embody a dimension and values similar to those of Art Nouveau and Art Deco.
